This afternoon, the world lost a wonderful human being, and I am lucky enough to have been able to call her my grandmother. Ragnhild “Ronnie” Isaacson passed away at the age of 93. I know the old cliche about people putting others ahead of themselves, but Grandma reflected that sentiment to a fault. In fact, I am sure she is looking down at me, concerned that I am spending time writing about her instead of doing something else. To say the world would be a better place if there were more people like Ronnie Isaacson would be an incredible understatement.

But like I said, Grandma would be aghast if she knew that I was interrupting what I do at this site simply on account of her, so I do want to include a baseball highlight from last night. Here is Oswaldo Arcia catching a ball literally with his eyes closed.

Good bye, Grandma. And don’t worry, you were no trouble at all.
